U P Saturday night Fish Feast & Tahquamenon Falls

On a day trip, we went to Paradise to the Falls...wow, has a drop of 50 feet and over 200 feet across with over 50,000 gallons of water a second over the edge.
In St. Ignace we met two ladies in the grocery store who told us about the Fish Feast at the public marina, so we went to try whitefish. We saw one of the ladies there and learned more about being a local on Lake Michigan. She said the Lake freezes in the winter, and people drive snow mobiles to Mackinac Island on the ice...interesting.
On Monday, after laundry and getting oil changed (Steve took it to the Ford dealership..Wayne, you know how hard that was for the Chevy man), we came to Manistique in the U P to see one more attraction before we leave Michigan..the pictured rocks.

In 2007, there was a fish feast to celebrate 50 years of the Mackinac Bridge, and they decided to make the fish feast an annual event

Lots of the local population of about 3000 come out for this event

Tall ship at the marina..lots of boats as they was a group meeting here.

Had to wait until after 10pm for the dark before the fireworks could start.
