U P Mackinac Island

On Thursday we traveled to Straits State Park right over the Mackinac Bridge to the U P, and we got a great camp site. We stayed until Monday and really enjoyed St. Ignace area. We traveled from here to Mackinac Island. Transportation on the island is by bike or horse as you will see in the pictures below. This is where the movie Back in Time was filmed at the Grand Hotel with Christopher Reeve.

The Mackinac Bridge is 5 miles long and connects the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. This is one of the longest single suspension bridge in the world.
