leaving Montana, in North Idaho September 9

When we were leaving Missoula, we saw an advertisement for the Hiawatha Rail Trail, and decided to try the 14 mile Bike ride. We found a campground nearby in the small town of Wallace, Idaho. We had the day to explore as it wasn't a long drive.

A new brewery in Wallace...we sampled 6 different brews

Cute!

This was a tribute to many men killed in a mine fire in 1972..

We heard about Murray about 20 miles up the mountain..here's their post office

We toured the museum which was 10,000 sq.ft. of amazing collections..rooms set up like this one of a kitchen from days gone by

Molly B' Dam was a infamous character in the mining days, and here's a replica of her bedroom where apparently a lot of action took place if you know what I mean

rows and rows of bottles, old typewriters, mining equipment, coins, jugs, etc. One amazing man started this in early 1900's and one of Mr. Almquist's biggest contribution was his wood carvings. He carved a chain that is the longest continuous one..we think it said 150 ft.

stayed in Missoula for one night and toured the town

stayed in Jim and Mary's RV Park and first time we've had a flower garden out front! Carol's cousin Jim and wife Mary will be getting a souvenir from here!

Home of Big Sky Brewery, makers of Moose Droul Beer..can you tell we like trying different Beers? This is a really good one that is going nationwide

Also home of the University of Montana..the Grizzles..still haven't seen a bear
